We are learning...
This half term we are learning:
Literacy: Lists, labels, captions. Poetry using the senses and stories with familiar settings. For book week we are reading the story 'The giant jam sandwich.' We will be carrying out lots of fun and creative activities around the book.
Get ready to dress up year 1!!!
Numeracy: Understanding number, addition and subtraction.
ICT: Multimedia control
Science: Ourselves and the senses. Activities will be linked to the story of Funybones and The Listening Walk.
DT: Sensory DT. Children will have lots of opportunities to design and make things connected to the senses eg: smelling pots and shakers.
Geography: Local area, mapping, fieldwork, trails.
Art: Self portraits
Music: Sounds interesting
PE: Games
RE: Myself
PSHCE: New beginnings
